- Text Tool Set-up -

E.g.
If the configuration mode text
says: The Setpoint = @SETPOINT °C
Then at run time the text may
say: The Setpoint = 25.7 °C
Where the @SETPOINT tag has been
replace by the tags current value.
To format any @TAGNAME value simply add to the end of the tagname (number of decimal places).
E.g.
If a tag called SETPOINT =
10.05678 then when it is displayed using the @TAGNAME method, the
following behaviours will occur.
|
@SETPOINT |
the value 10.05678 will be displayed |
|
@SETPOINT(0) |
the value 10 will be displayed |
|
@SETPOINT(2) |
the value 10.06 will be displayed |
|
@SETPOINT(5) |
the value 10.05678 will be displayed |
(Not applicable for String tags, but can also be used for the TEXT tool)
H-Justify and V-Justify
These allow the text to be repositioned within its bounding rectangle. To do this select the H-Justify and V-Justify settings required when adding the text. Then by selecting one of the resizing handles with the left mouse button and dragging the mouse this will change the size of the texts bounding rectangle and in so doing reposition the text accordingly.
Stretch
This is selected to resize the texts font. Especially useful if the font size required is non-standard. To stretch the text, tick the stretch checkbox and press OK. Then by selecting one of the resizing handles with the left mouse button and dragging mouse the size of the texts font will be changed.
These settings can be changed again later by double-clicking the text or selecting object properties from the menu.
