Edit All
By design only the currently selected layers objects can be edited. Although there are, times when objects from different layers need to be edited together.

Therefore, when this button is selected all layers that have show and edit checked can be edited simultaneously.

Layer 0
This is known as the default layer. This layer is different to all other layers in that at run time it is always visible. Also if you load a drawing from an old pre-layer control version of Data Manager all the objects will be placed on this layer.

Layers 1 through 8
These layers can be used to hold different drawings. It’s a little bit like having many drawings all in the one drawing and being able to switch between them.

Show
Check this box if the associated layer is to be visible during the configuration stage.

Print
Check this box so that the associated layer can be printed during the configuration stage.

Edit
Check this box so that the associated layer can be edited during the configuration stage.

Layer name
This is for user information only. It is only to help you remember what was placed on each layer.

Paste to Selected Layer
Check this box to paste all copied objects to the currently selected layer. The default is unchecked, thereby pasting all copied objects back to their original layers.
