- Dynamic Control Interface -

Dynamics are applied by double-clicking the desired object or by selecting the object then pressing Object Properties from the Edit Menu. Having done this a dialog box will appear showing all the available dynamics for the selected object. Some items though will be disabled, for example, the fill properties if you select a Line object or the Start and End points if you select a Rectangle.

Dynamics are controlled from the loggers tag values or from the languages internal variables. They can be either numeric values or strings. The only exception is the Track Bar control. In this case, the track bar writes values to the logger or language internal variables.

The selected object can also be given a unique name from the dynamics dialog even if no dynamics are actually used. This can be useful in identifying the object later.

To use the dynamic controls first select the desired control by pressing the associated control button (this button has an icon drawn on it to represent the dynamic action). Now the selected controls associated dialog box will be displayed. When this dialog is completed by pressing the OK button, you will notice that the checkbox next to the actioned control button has been checked. This is to indicate that this dynamic control is to be used to change the object on screen. If later you need to temporarily disable this control, simply uncheck the checkbox. You will notice however, the checkbox doesn’t become disabled but only unchecked. This indicates that the control has been set-up but is not currently used. All unused dynamic control checkbox are by default disable. If you no longer wish to use a previously selected control and want to show its checkbox as disabled again, simply remove the controls tag or internal variable name.
