Note: These settings are optional. The ones marked with a * indicate that Data Manager must be restarted for the new settings to be actioned.

Load this drawing at Run time
Enter the name of the drawing that will be loaded at run time. This is usually an overview that leads on to other drawings.

Background Bitmap name *
Enter the name of a bitmap to be loaded into the background. This bitmap will only be seen if all the drawings are closed.

Maximum Undo limit
This sets the limit for the undo mechanism. It works as a first in last out stack system in that as new actions take place the oldest actions get pushed out the other end of the stack. The old undo actions that get pushed out are then lost and cannot be retrieved. Therefore, only the last X actions can be undone, where X is in range is from 0 to 100.

Language
The two buttons here are for creating and/or accessing language files. They are called Start-up and shutdown. The start-up language is run when Data Manager goes to run mode, either from configuration mode or from start-up. The shutdown language file is run when Data Manager either returns to configuration mode or is shutdown. If the language is not used the button will display a red cross. If the language is used the button will display a green tick.

Recipe boxes
These three options are used to affect the way the selected recipe item boxes are displayed. These are the boxes drawn around the tags when in recipe mode.

• Default
  The first radio button is the Default. In this mode the boxes colour is exclusive OR'd with the colour behind it. This means the box will always be visible no matter what is happening to the colours behind it.
  

• Never shown
  The second options is called Never shown and does exactly what it says and never shows the box.
  
• Always shown
  The third option Always shown makes the boxes colour black. The reason for this is that if two or more recipe items are visible and on top of each other and the default setting is used all the boxes will be exclusive OR'd with each other and never be displayed.

Options

• Start in Run Mode *
  This option relies on a file name being entered in the Load this drawing at Run time box. If this option is checked, the requested file will be automatically loaded at run time.
  

• Popup Error Events *
  If this box is checked, when the system detects and error the event log will be called and will popup on top of all other windows to report the error.
  
• Show Status Bar
  If this box is checked, the status bar will appear at run time. Otherwise it will remain hidden
  
• Touch Screen
  Check this box if the computer has no keyboard attached. This will engage the virtual keyboard system. What this means is that when a data entry box is selected a virtual keyboard will popup on screen and wait for data input. There are two types of virtual keyboard. One that represents the number pad and one that represents the main keyboard area. Data Manager automatically decides which one to call.
  
• Text to Keyboard
  Check this box to copy the existing data to the virtual keyboard. If this option if left unchecked, the virtual keyboard will display a blank line ready for new data.
  
• Use Layers *
  If this box is checked, the layer control system is activated. The default is unchecked.
  
• Allow Screen Swap
  If ticked (the default) it allows drawings to be loaded as normal even if a chart or recipe selector dialog is displayed. If unticked, a request to load a drawing will action as normal unless a chart or recipe selector is dispalyed in which case the change will be disallowed.
  
• Launch With Windows
  If ticked Data Manager will be loaded, started and if requested Run when Windows loads. If selected there is no need to put a Data Manager Shortcut into the Windows Startup directory. Note, Data Manager will also be run before (if enabled) Windows User Login.
  
• Use Alarms *
  Enables the Alarm system for this project.
